With over a decade immersed in the fashion industry, I’ve had the amazing opportunity of sharpening my skills in Paris—the heart of haute couture and working alongside top-tier global designers. This journey has shaped my eye for high-caliber craftsmanship, fresh concepts, and enduring style. I’ve always been captivated by Golden Goose sneakers, a brand that seamlessly blends a pre-worn character with refined construction and premium materials. In this article, I’ll be sharing my personal take on various Superstar variants, exploring their design language, wearability, and wardrobe potential.
If you’re someone who lives for limited-edition sneakers or just wants a polished casual shoe, I’m here to guide you through it all with advice shaped by my industry experience. Come with me as we unpack what sets these sneakers apart!
Not too long ago, I picked up my first-ever pair of Golden Goose sneakers (which I originally featured in this post), and received a number of questions about them since then. So many that I decided it was finally time to do a full write-up! I’ve also worn them enough now that I feel like I have a good grip on their quality, and a variety of other factors about them, which you’ll find explored in this post.
So I’m diving into a bunch of common questions, as well as where you can find them on sale, below! Also, if you’re interested in more try-ons and reviews, check out my comparison of Abercrombie and Agolde jean shorts, Goyard St. Louis GM Tote review, and Dudley Stephens fleece review!
Where can I find a pair like yours?
Cettire had them on sale and I clicked “buy” right away!
Placed my order on April 28th and they were delivered by April 30th, so the shipping was lightning fast and that’s a win in my book
How much do they cost?
Back in April, I managed to get them for $385.43 instead of paying the full $513.91.
You can expect to pay between $410 and $1,700 depending on their design features.
How does the sizing run?
I’d say they fit just right, based on my pair.
Since they keep their shape https://www.ggoose.org/product-category/man/ and half sizes aren’t available, I’d recommend sizing up.

How comfy are they?
They’re extremely comfortable, and only took a few hours to break in..
How durable are they?
Since they come pre-distressed, I didn’t worry about scuffing them more. I’ve worn them all over the city, and they’ve held up beautifully. No glitter has fallen off, and the leather hasn’t stretched. Thanks to the vintage look, I can’t even tell if there’s new wear and tear.
Do they feel better than other shoes?
Nothing else compares in comfort or quality. I’ve tried others like Vejas, but Golden Goose are just on another level. They include a built-in arch bump that adds a little height — making your legs look longer. Not to mention, they’re crafted individually, so each pair is unique. And the shine on mine? Next-level.
Are they worth it?
Yes! Though I suggest looking for a deal. They’re not cheap, so getting them on sale is worth it. I’d pay several hundred for the quality, especially if you find a style that suits you. I went bold with sparkle, but a minimalist version would also look great.
Discount sources?
Scroll down for my go-to sources. I had a 10/10 experience with GGoose.org, so I think they’re a great option.

- Gilt – you can sign up for free!

Where can I find a pair like yours?
I ordered mine from Cettire when they had a solid deal going on.
I ordered them on April 28th and they were delivered by the 30th, so the shipping was really quick .
What’s the price?
I picked them up for $385.43, though they usually go for around $513.91.
You can expect to pay between $410 and $1,700 depending on their level of detail.
How is the fit?
I found them to fit true to size, at least for me. They haven’t stretched much, so if you’re in the middle, I’d go up
Is the comfort worth it?
They required minimal break-in time.
How do they perform over time?
They look worn from the start, I didn’t worry about getting them dirty. I’ve worn them all over NYC, and they still look great. The laces are intact, and the structure feels strong.
Thanks to the vintage look, I can’t even tell if there’s new wear and tear.
